What is Magic Link Access?

CockpitShop uses passwordless authentication to protect your account. Instead of storing a password that could be leaked or guessed, we send you a single-use secure link each time you want to access your account. This link works only once and expires after 15 minutes.

This method is used by many enterprise SaaS platforms because it eliminates the risk of password reuse attacks and credential stuffing. Your Dirs21 API credentials stored in our system are encrypted and never exposed in plain text.

Step-by-Step: How to Access Your Account

1. Enter your email address — use the same email address you provided at checkout when you purchased your first CockpitShop module.
2. Click "Send Access Link" — our system will generate a unique, encrypted access link and send it to your email address within 30 seconds.
3. Check your inbox — open the email from CockpitShop (from: noreply@cockpitshop.org). Do not forward this email to others.
4. Click the link in the email — you will be redirected to your account dashboard. The link is single-use and expires after 15 minutes.
5. Your session is now active — you can manage modules, view invoices and update your Dirs21 API key.

What Can You Do in Your Account?

Once inside your CockpitShop customer portal, you have full access to:

• View and manage all active Dirs21 module subscriptions
• Enter or update your Dirs21 API key to connect or reconnect modules
• Download PDF invoices for all payments
• Cancel or pause individual module subscriptions
• View your module activation history and connection logs
• Update your billing email address
• Submit support requests directly from the portal

How Your Dirs21 API Key Is Used

Each CockpitShop module connects to your Dirs21 account using the official Dirs21 REST API. You generate an API key from your Dirs21 account dashboard (under Settings → API Access) and enter it in your CockpitShop portal. We store this key in encrypted form using AES-256 encryption. The key is never visible in plain text — not even to CockpitShop support staff.

The modules use your API key only to perform the specific operations each module requires — for example, the OTA Sync Pro reads availability from Dirs21 and writes rate updates. We request only the API permission scopes needed for each module's function.

Can I Have Multiple Properties?

Yes. If you manage multiple hotel properties, each using a separate Dirs21 account, you can add multiple Dirs21 API keys to your CockpitShop account. Each property is billed separately for each active module. The Multi-Property Dashboard module provides a unified view across all connected properties.

Troubleshooting Access Issues

If you are not receiving the access email, please check the following:

• Confirm you are using the same email address you registered with at checkout
• Check your spam or junk mail folder
• Add noreply@cockpitshop.org to your email allowlist
• If using a corporate email, ask your IT team to whitelist the domain cockpitshop.org
